Affordable Art Market Event

Welcome to the Affordable Art Market!

Artists are sought for this event, to be held in the surrounding lawn of the Edwards Building – located in the Alliance for the Arts campus in Fort Myers, FL on Sunday, October 5 from 10am to 2pm. 

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE EVENT (Please read thoroughly)

This type of market is slightly different from traditional vendor events. We specifically require that all items for sale are original artworks, fine art reproductions, sculptures, fine crafts and other handmade items considered artworks – all marked under $200. The focus of this event is making art affordable for all customers and promote the sale of smaller, more accessible artworks. It is also affordable for the artists to participate, with a conveniently low vendor fee.

This event is a collective effort, sponsored by the Union Artist Studios, Arts & Eats Cafe and DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery & Gifts. It’s sole purpose is to provide an opportunity for local artists to sale their works, network and connect with other artists. Also, to bring awareness and new customers to the businesses in the campus. 

PRODUCT

The promoters are looking for artists and vendors of the following products:

• Fine Art Reproductions
• Pottery 
• Clothing and other textile art
• Carvings (wood, metal, etc.)
• Paintings (all mediums)
• Jewelry (beaded)
• Other handcrafted (if you make it, you can sell it.)

No resale of commercial or manufactured items allowed. 

SPACE

Please pay close attention to the space dimensions and limitations. 

The space provided will be 10 feet by 10 feet, approximately. Every vendor is required to provide their own 10’ x 10’ professional tent. Flimsy beach or camping tents are not permitted. We recommend the E-Z Up Event Shelter (ezup.com) tent for this marker, preferably in white. 

Each vendor must supply their own tables (folding, 72 inch length), tablecloths, displays, stands, easels, pedestals, chairs, signs, etc.  

No electricity will be provided for this event. Should you require electricity for your display, please email acevedostudio@yahoo.com to inquire about other options. 

All items must be completed, labeled and professionally displayed. Vendors must supply their own bags, tissue paper, etc. 

TRANSACTIONS

It is also recommended that vendors have a system in place to accept credit card payments, such as Square Point of Sale (square.com). All vendors should be responsible for their own transactions and for collecting and reporting Florida Sales Tax of 6.5%. Also, be prepared to provide written receipts in case any customers request it. Vendors keep their profits! 

FEE

There are only 25 vendor spaces available for this event. These will be granted on a first come, first serve basis – once acceptance confirmation is received. Vendor spaces must be paid for in advance and the cost is $25 per space. For this event, we will not allow vendors to rent more than one space. 

In order to be considered as a vendor for this event, you must: 

• Sign Up here, providing the required information.
• Submit a minimum of 3 images of your product to acevedostudio@gmail.com using subject line: Affordable Vendor
• Once accepted and confirmed, you must pay the $25 fee by cash, credit card or check (payable to DAAS CO-OP) at/to DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery & Gifts (10051 McGregor BLVD STE 104 Fort Myers, FL 33919) by Sunday, September 28, 2025. You can also call 239-955-0422 and pay over the phone with a credit card. You must present confirmation of payment on the day of the event, before setting up. 

Vendors are expected to adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct. The promoters of this event reserve the right to admission. 

Applicants will receive notification of acceptance within one week from submission.  A waiting list will be maintained for vendor spaces, in the event that someone does not pay the fee or cancels participation.
