Glimpses of Reverie by Kesler Santiago

Fort Myers, FL – In the month of August, DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery & Gifts is showcasing the artwork of Kesler Santiago and his collection entitled Glimpses of Reverie. The opening reception is scheduled for the evening of Friday, August 1, 2025, from 5:30pm to 9:00pm. Glimpses of Reverie will be on display until August 31, 2025.

Kesler Santiago is a 27-year-old emerging artist from Cuba whose work is a quiet celebration of love, soul, and the natural world. Through surreal symbolism and tender emotional narratives, his paintings invite viewers to pause, feel, and remember what it means to love. Guided by the belief that “to shine light on a human heart is the true profession of an artist,” Kesler creates art as a space for reflection, beauty, and connection. His values of inclusivity and belonging, shaped by his life within the LGBTQ+ community, deepen his commitment to honoring the diversity and resilience of the human spirit.

In Glimpses of Reverie, each painting becomes a fleeting doorway between the seen and unseen—where dreamlike portraits, surreal animals, natural landscapes, and symbolic elements intertwine to reveal hidden emotions, spiritual inquiry, and human connection. This collection explores identity, transformation, and memory through layered textures, luminous colors, and quiet symbolism. From a soul entwined with a crow and whales to blooming flowers merging with human figures, the works invite viewers into a silent dialogue between nature, psyche, and spirit. Through delicate compositions and bold contrasts, a common thread emerges: the human figure as a vessel of inner landscapes, the coexistence of vulnerability and strength, and a poetic blending of nature with identity. Whether it’s the cracked heart, the glow of peacock feathers, or a patch of laundry before a modest window, each piece reflects an intimate, personal narrative. This series is less about realism and more about emotional truth—a visual language honoring the beauty of imperfection, the resilience of life, and the complexity of being.

Everyone is invited to attend this free event on the first Friday of August.
