The Paper Songs – A Juried Exhibition

Fort Myers, FL – During the month of January, DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery & Gifts is hosting artworks from multiple guest artists, as well as members of the cooperative, for their very first juried exhibition of the year. The exhibition, entitled The Paper Songs, will have its opening reception on Friday, January 5th, 2024, from 6:00pm to 9:30pm, in conjunction with the monthly Fort Myers Art Walk event. The exhibition will be on display through January 28, 2024.

The exhibition prospectus challenged artists from southwest Florida and beyond to celebrate the freedom of mixed media approaches on paper surfaces. All pieces comply with the specifications proposed for size and medium application, creating a cohesive and soothing atmosphere in the place. All pieces are hung with wooden pins on threads, spanning from one wall to another in the exhibition space. The vision is of a clean, flowy spectacle, where all the pieces dance together, mimicking a clothesline of beautiful creations on paper.

The gallery’s administration will award Best in Show, First and Second prizes, plus Honorable Mentions. These will be revealed during the opening reception.

DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery & Gifts is located at 1815 Fowler Street, in the Butterfly Estates complex in Fort Myers, FL. As an award-winning venue, it hosts artworks from some of the best local artists in Southwest Florida. The venue is also available for private functions and events.
