The Union Artist Studios is a collaboration between local working artists with a common interest in promoting and supporting the arts in Southwest Florida. Etablished in 2012 by renowned artist David Acevedo, the Union is a production space with multiple studio spaces and a common area where artists showcase some of their creations. Recently incorporated into the newly branded Art Triad of Fort Myers, the space is a hub for artists and art enthusiasts who visit every Saturday during open studio hours. The triad is shaped with The Union Artist Studios on the upper corner, being DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery and Arts & Eats Cafe the other two points of this artistic triagle.
Currently, the Union houses the studios of several artists including David Acevedo himself, who has dedicated more than 25 years to the arts and culture in our city. In this section of the Edward’s Building – where the entire Art Triad resides, Xavier Brignoni, Erik Schlake, Julia Da Rocha, Sonia Rosa, Diana Ripoll and Dominick Tascher occupy spaces.
Inside the Arts & Eats Cafe space, artists John Rizza, Lesley Morrow, Kate Swanstrom, and Stacey Brown have their individual studio space. Inside DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery Danielle Branchaud, Bernie Hyland, Brianna Jackson, Kelly Morrison, Jeff & Dale Ocasio and Eric Radde are all occupying their own creative spaces as well.
Every Union Artist brings their own individual style and creative energy tp the space. The result is an enchancing space with amazing artwork and fine crafts, contributing daily to the arts and culture in our community.
