Fort Myers, FL – In the month of November, DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery & Gifts is showcasing the artwork of Dominick Tascher and his collection entitled Feeling Free. The opening reception is scheduled for Friday, November 4, 2022, from 6:00pm to 9:30pm, in conjunction with the monthly Fort Myers Art Walk event. The exhibition will be on display through November 27th, 2022.
Additionally, DAAS CO-OP is hosting a Plein Air Demo with SWFL artists Dana Enders and John Rizza, among others. The demonstrations will happen during the Makers Market Event day on Sunday, November 6th from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
Tascher’s path led him to become a physician instead of a car designer or architect, but his passion for the arts and painting never left him. Moving to St. Martin with his family in the late 80s, the beauty and colorful culture of the Caribbean inspired him to go back to his easel and start painting again. His journey did not stop there as he relocated to the US in the early 2000s and has lived in Florida since then. Tascher has been a member of the Union Artist Studios, the only organized artists’ studio group in all southwest Florida, since 2021. Tascher is a self-taught artist, and his work is inspired by different periods like Abstract Expressionism and Street Art. His study of Zen Buddhism has also served as inspiration.
