Fort Myers, FL – During the month of March, DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery & Gifts is featuring the art of guest artist Kelly Morrison. The exhibition, entitled Life in Color, will have its opening reception on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 6:00pm to 9:30pm; in conjunction with the monthly Fort Myers Art Walk event. The exhibition will be on display through March 31, 2024.

Kelly Morrison is a mixed media artist creating colorful and whimsical interpretations of her surroundings in SW Florida. Growing up, Kelly was the kid always in the art room. Although her father encouraged her to go to school for business, art has always been her passion. The business knowledge and creative gift together is what has enabled her success. She has worked on many mediums including glass, silver, clay and paint.

When Morrison moved to Florida in 1994, she discovered color. Today, she is recognized for her colorful abstract paintings and her line of funky wooden fish.

“My paintings are filled with layers of color, texture and patterns – inspired by my surroundings of the ocean, tropical gardens and colorful people.” – mentions the artist, who will be present during the opening reception and is eager to meet and greet all the attendees.
