Pequeño Formato Invitational Exhibition

Fort Myers, FL – In the month of January, DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery & Gifts is showcasing the artwork of various artists participating in the first invitational exhibition of the year, Pequeño Formato (small format). The opening reception is scheduled for Friday, January 7, 2022, from 6:00pm to 9:30pm, in conjunction with the monthly Fort Myers Art Walk event. The exhibition will be on display through January 29, 2022.

Artists from all over southwest Florida were invited by DAAS CO-OP to submit size-limited pieces, showcasing the same skillset as a regular size artwork, but celebrating the constrictions of the space. The Pequeño Formato group exhibition concept began during the inception years of the first DAAS Gallery. This new year, it expands as an invitational show, limiting the size to twelve inches on any side. Submissions were received and curated in an inviting display for all to enjoy during the January Fort Myers Art Walk night reception and throughout the month.

New to DAAS is artist Mike Dressler, whose style combines interesting subjects with patterns and contrasting monochromatic subjects. A professional dance instructor by day, Dressler has rekindled his relationship with his art production, becoming one of the newest members of the Union Artists Studios in Fort Myers.

We invite all Southwest Florida art collectors, supporters and enthusiasts to join us for the opening reception on Friday, January 7, 2022, starting at 6:00pm to meet the artists participating in this exhibition.

DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery & Gifts is located at 1815 Fowler Street, in the Butterfly Estates complex in Fort Myers, FL. The gallery’s temporary business hours are Wednesday to Sunday,
