Fort Myers, FL – In the month of January, DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery & Gifts features the work of international artist Cheryl Fausel. The exhibition is a collection of meticulously designed watercolors and other mediums, created within the years. The opening reception is scheduled for Friday, January 3, 2020 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, in conjunction with the monthly Fort Myers Art Walk event. The pieces will be on display through January 25, 2020.

Cheryl Fausel combines realism with abstraction. There is a pursuit of control with a heavy emphasis on design and composition. Color is important to this artist, and is based on the values needed to develop the painting. At the same time, a painting should tell a story, not immediately evident. She seeks an emotional reaction, as well as an interpretation of an idea is presented through design.

Fausel’s work is collected nationally as well as internationally. She has signature status in the National Watercolor Society, the American Watercolor Society, the Southern Watercolor Society and the Florida Watercolor Society and the Tri- State Watercolor Society. She is also a member of the Florida Artists Group and the National League of American Pen Woman and the National Association of Women Artists. She is published in Watermedia of America Vol. II, A Walk into the Abstract Vol. II and Splash 17, published July 2016, and The Art of Watercolour Dec. 2017.

We invite all Southwest Florida art collectors, supporters and enthusiasts to join us for the opening reception. As always, the gallery will be filled with the most beautiful inventory of art, fine crafts, apparel, sculptures, pottery and jewelry, all produced here by the member artists.
