Fort Myers, FL – In the month of June, DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery & Gifts is showcasing the artwork of Miami-based visual and graffiti artist known as DOCK. An opening reception is scheduled for the evening of Friday, June 5, 2026, from 5:30pm to 9:00pm. The exhibition will be on display until June 28, 2026.

DOCK was born and raised in Miami, FL; but lived in southwest Florida from 2012 to 2023. He started with just tagging the streets of Miami in his youth later getting into traditional art when he moved to SWFL in 2012.  Graffiti being not as common in the area, DOCK decided to take the spray paint cans and markers to canvas. The artist combines street art flare with abstract art influences to create his signature character. His work is created with a variety of mediums, mostly acrylic paint, spray paint, paint markers, streaks, mops, and others. The artist likes to use the same tools graffiti writers use in his work, capturing the same essence that you’ll see on the streets. The colors are always vibrant, the fills are always erratic, but the outlines are always sharp.

DOCK’s character originated from a simple bird character. But has evolved over the years, becoming more abstract, loose, and exaggerated. The character has been constructed, deconstructed, and reconstructed again. Resulting in the character you see now. Everyone is welcome to meet the artist during the opening reception.
